The Blame Game is Lame

 Hey there,

Let's Talk About a Game You're Bound to Lose!

Ever noticed how easy it is to play the blame game? It's like our go-to move when things go south. Think back to the OG blame game players: Adam and Eve. After they slipped up, there was a major shift from being all about God to being all about themselves.

When God stepped in for a chat, Adam was quick to point fingers, saying, "Hey, it was the woman you hooked me up with." Pause there, Adam. That's not how we do accountability.

And Eve? When it was her turn, she blamed the serpent, saying, "The serpent tricked me." It seems like passing the buck is an age-old habit.

Genesis 3 gives us the lowdown: their blame game didn't cut it. They still faced the music for their actions. Spoiler alert: blaming others doesn't cancel out the consequences.

And here's a fun fact: "lame" doesn't just mean having trouble moving. In slang, it means something's uncool.

So, blaming others? Yeah, it's like being stuck in a rut, totally uncool and unable to move forward.

God's got a better plan for us. He's all about looking inward for growth, not pointing fingers.

The Bible's big on self-reflection. Jesus himself said knowing the truth will set us free. And that's not just about God's truth, but being honest with ourselves too.

Realizing we're only responsible for our actions is a game-changer. Shakespeare was onto something when he said, "To thine own self be true."

Self-awareness can save us from a lot of external drama.

But sticking to blame? It's a dead-end street that keeps us from reaching our full potential and living the fruitful life God envisions for us.

So, let's ditch the blame game.
